Heart of Gold Becomes an Experience

This year, BakerRipley’s Heart of Gold proved to be more than the average luncheon.

This year, BakerRipley’s Heart of Gold proved to be more than the average luncheon. Guests were given the opportunity to experience the feel of BakerRipley’s community centers. There were 3D printing demonstrations from Houston Fab Lab, mock citizenship tests with Immigration team, gardening with the Urban Farm, and yummy samples from entrepreneurs in the Small Business program. Other programs featured included our Tax Centers, Head Start program, and seniors programs.

During the luncheon, CEO Claudia Aguirre talked about her personal experiences at BakerRipley, celebrated our recent accomplishment and looked ahead at what’s coming for the agency.

We also heard from four neighbors and one donor about the effects that BakerRipley had on their lives.
